Marissa Courtemarche

Veterinarian

Dr. Marissa Courtemarche started at Wilton Animal Hospital shadowing the doctors here in highschool. She was able to work her way up to veterinary technician and stayed at Wilton Animal Hospital through her undergraduate degree in biology at Franklin Pierce University. Dr.Courtemarche then completed her doctorate degree at Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine in Harrogate, TN. During her last year there she was able to work at many different veterinary hospitals throughout the country. Her all time favorite was at the well renowned Yellowstone Equine Hospital in Cody, Wyoming. This hospital focuses on implementing prosthetics for horses who have lost a leg due to an injury. Having spent her whole last year learning at a variety of animal clinics at LMU, Dr. Courtemarche was able to see various types of animals, although the brunt of her clinics were focused on small animal practices. After Dr. Courtemarche graduated with her DVM, she worked at a busy small animal practice and the more experience she got the more she realized the type of veterinarian she was becoming. A Doctor with a gentle touch, a genuine compassion for the animals she treated, and who strived to build a strong relationship with her clients. She also realized that life sometimes comes full circle as she eventually returned to Wilton Animal Hospital where it all began.  When Dr. Courtemarche isn’t working, you may find her out for a jog with her dogs, a hike, riding her horses, or relaxing with a cup of tea and a good book with a cat or two on her lap.
